Ankle Band/Strap

Many of our swimmers use and recommend the FINIS Pulling Ankle Strap. They find this ideal and comfortable for eliminating kicking when pulling.

Anti-Chafe Stick

A wetsuit can get uncomfortable during a long swim. It can rub against the swimmer’s skin and make it sore. Lubricant or an anti-chafe stick can help prevent this.

Body Wash

Many of our swimmers use TRISWIM Chlorine Removal Body Wash for removing chlorine from their bodies after swimming.

Drag Shorts – Men

Many of our swimmers use and recommend Arena men’s drag shorts. They find these comfortable and ideal for resistance training.

Ear Drops

Some of our swimmers use SwimSeal ear drops before they swim, to help protect their ears from trapped water, which could lead to an ear infection (swimmer’s ear).

Ear Plugs

Many of our swimmers use and recommend Zoggs Aqua Plugz Ear Plugs. Being made from one-piece silicone they find them comfortable and a good fit for keeping the water out of their ears.

Ear Plugs – Silicone Putty

Fins – Junior

Foam roller – Soft

Hip Rotation Trainer

Some of our swimmers use the Finis Tech Toc Hip Trainer, to help them develop the correct amount of body rotation (body roll) when swimming freestyle.

Nose Clip

Many of our swimmers don’t like water entering their nose while swimming. They use and recommend the Savita Swimming Nose Clip to help prevent this.

Parachutes

We recommended and I personally use Xrten Swimming Pool Parachute. We find this ideal for resistance training, with a stretch cord/bungee for tethered training and a drag chute/parachute for resistance pool training.

Pull Buoy

Many of our swimmers use and recommend the FINIS foam pull buoy. They find this ideal for resistance training”. These come in two sizes, one for seniors and the other for juniors.

Resistance Bands/Therabands

Socks – Open Water

Many of our swimmers use Huub Swim Socks when open water swimming in cold temperatures. They are made from neoprene, they find them both comfortable and warm.

Sports Towel/Shammy

We recommended and I personally use a FINIS 3×100 Memory Stopwatch, which I find very reasonably priced, easy to use and very reliable.

Stretch cord/bungee

Many of our swimmers use and recommend the Topelek Exercise Resistance Bands

Tea Tree Oil

Some of our swimmers use Earol Swim Tea Tree Oil to help protect their ears from trapped water.

Tempo Trainer/Aqua Pacer

We recommended and I personally use the FINIS Tempo Trainer Pro. I have found this device especially useful over the years, for pacing swimmers over all distances, especially middle and longer distances from 400m to 1500m”.

Vest – Open Water
